With all the dark days and rain we’ve had, I can’t help it, I’m slightly excited for fall. Am I ready for it? No, I really haven’t had nearly enough of summer. But still, part of me is excited for cozy days and pumpkin spice. But not anytime too soon. We’ll ease into cooler temps with simple, slightly richer, recipes like today’s pizza. I wouldn’t say this is specifically a fall recipe....

I know that’s such a bold statement, but I mean, let’s be real, almost everyone has a special spot for tacos!! Hello, Taco Tuesday anyone?!?! I especially love tacos during the summer months for many reasons… …one: as far fillings go, the options are endless. …two: summer is a great time to break away from the oven. During these warmer months I prefer quicker cooking methods like the grill or skillet....

But, umm?? Bacon on a mushroom burger is like really, really good. Just like it works on these pancakes, it works on this almost veggie burger. We’re ending the week with cookies…yes, always a good idea! And these are extra, extra special cookies. Currently, I’m in a rotation of four food groups, Asian, Indian, Mexican, and then every once in a while…a random Italian recipe gets thrown into the mix. I made this version of Easy Dum Aloo Curry almost a year back on my Instagram as a quick video recipe. While I have posted a couple of versions of Dum Aloo on the blog – Restaurant Style Dum Aloo and No Onion No Garlic Dum Aloo, this recipe here remains the recent favorite. Salna is my most favorite side dish for parotta or chapati and it comes a close second only to Kurma. Both Salna and Kurma are similar in the ingredients used, both are served as side dishes to flat breads and are native to Tamilnadu. Salna is runny gravy made with a base of onions and tomatoes, in addition to the coconut-based masala paste. Kurma, though has a coconut based masala paste is thicker and creamier than a Salna....
