I always serve at least one special drink at parties, it’s often pineapple punch, cherry limeade or this elegant champagne punch.
Champagne Punch Ingredients
To make this refreshing champagne punch you will need champagne, frozen limeade concentrate, lemon lime soda, fresh or frozen berries, limes and sprigs of mint for a garnish. Serve this drink at a party with some of my favorite appetizer recipes like baked chicken wings, dill dip and grape jelly meatballs.
How Do You Make Champagne Punch?
To make this champagne punch recipe first pour lemon lime soda into a pitcher. Next place a can of frozen limeade concentrate in the pitcher and stir it into the lemon lime soda. Muddle half of the berries in the drink if you are using fresh berries. Frozen berries go in at the end. Pour champagne into the pitcher and stir. The finishing touch for this drink is to add the rest of the fresh berries or all of the frozen berries, thinly sliced limes and fresh mint sprigs. Then simply pour into champagne flutes and serve!
Tips For The Perfect Punch
You want to make this drink right before or even during parties. If you make the drink ahead of time it will lose its fizz. Make sure to chill your champagne before adding it to this drink. The pretty pink color comes from the berries. You can either use frozen berries which will naturally turn the drink pink. If you prefer to use fresh berries you can muddle some of the berries at the bottom of the pitcher to get the same beautiful color. You can easily double or triple this champagne punch if you’re serving a large crowd. Think about using a punch bowl if you make a larger amount of this punch.
Champagne Punch Flavor Variations
While I enjoy making this champagne punch as written, sometimes I don’t have fresh berries on hand so I have to get a little creative and switch things up a bit!
Tropical: Substitute tropical fruit such as pineapple, mango and kiwi for the berries. You could even pour in a little pineapple juice. Citrus: Use a variety of sliced citrus such as lemon, lime, grapefruit and oranges instead of berries. You could add some orange juice. Winter: Make a festive winter version of this punch with fresh cranberries and ginger ale. You could add little cranberry juice cocktail, apple cider or pomegranate juice. Non-Alcoholic: You can turn this into a mocktail by replacing the champagne with ginger ale. You could also substitute flavored sparkling water if you want to cut the sweetness. Liquors: Try adding some vodka, triple sec, Chambord or Grand Marnier for a stronger punch. Careful, a little goes a long way. Holidays: For the holidays, try my Christmas punch, Thanksgiving punch or kinderpunsch (German Christmas punch) for non alcoholic punches that everyone will love. Sweet: For a sweeter taste, you can add some simple syrup or pink lemonade to the punch.
So pour yourself a glass and say cheers to what will be your favorite drink of the summer or for parties year round!
