Dessert dips are an easy way to serve up a sweet treat without a ton of effort. I often serve dessert recipes such as cannoli dip, cherry cheesecake dip, cream cheese fruit dip and this cookie dough dip. When I want a quick dessert that I know will be a hit, I always think of cookie dough dip. We’ve all been warned about eating cookie dough before you bake it. However, the great thing about this sweet, decadent dip is the fact that there’s no eggs or flour, so it’s completely safe to gobble up!
Cookie Dough Dip Ingredients
To make this recipe, you will need butter, cream cheese, milk, brown sugar, powdered sugar, vanilla extract and mini chocolate chips.
How Do You Make Cookie Dough Dip?
If you’ve got five minutes, a bowl, and a spoon, you’re all set to tackle this delicious cookie dough dip. Simply add your softened butter and cream cheese to a bowl and beat until smooth. Add the milk to the bowl and mix until smooth again. To finish, add in all your ingredients except the chocolate chips, which get folded in at the end and sprinkled over the top. Serve your dip with cookies and fruit, and enjoy!
Tips For The Perfect Dip
Make sure that your cream cheese and butter are very soft so that you don’t end up with lumps in your dip. You can microwave the cream cheese in 30 second increments to soften it. Microwave the butter for 10-15 seconds to soften it. You can prepare this chocolate chip cookie dough dip up to 3 days in advance. Store it covered in the fridge until you’re ready to serve it. Be sure to let the dip sit at room temperature for at least 10 minutes when it comes out of the refrigerator so that it is soft and spreadable. Get creative with your dippers! Some of my favorite options include graham crackers, vanilla wafers, pretzels, sandwich cookies such as Oreos, apple slices and strawberries.
Flavor Variations
This dip is delicious as-is, but you can add other ingredients to customize the flavors to your tastes.
Creamy: For an extra light and fluffy dip, add up to 3/4 cup of whipped cream or whipped topping. Chocolate: Feel free to use milk chocolate chips or white chocolate chips instead of dark chocolate. Add-Ins: You can stir in up to 1/2 cup of extra ingredients such as toffee bits, sprinkles, nuts, or even mini M&M’s!
I can’t tell you how many times I’ve prepared this dip. The entire family loves it and it’s a hit at parties!
