Dill Pickle Dip Ingredients

To make dill pickle dip, you’ll need cream cheese, dill pickles, fresh dill, green onions, garlic powder and pickle juice. Make a dip platter with some of my favorite appetizer recipes like smoked salmon dip, bacon ranch dip and hot spinach dip!

How Do You Make Dill Pickle Dip?

To make this dill pickle dip recipe start by placing your softened cream cheese in a medium bowl along with the chopped pickles, pickle juice, sliced green onions, fresh dill and garlic powder. Stir until everything is well combined. Serve immediately, or store in the refrigerator for later use.

Tips For the Perfect Dill Pickle Dip

I use fresh dill and green onions to accentuate the pickle flavor. It’s really important to use fresh herbs here because the ingredient list is so short for this dip, you want to go for quality. I like to top my pickle dip with more chopped pickles and dill so that everyone knows exactly what flavor it is! You can mix everything together with a spoon or use a hand mixer. I serve this dip with a variety of dippers, like pretzels and potato chips. Other great options are baguette slices, breadsticks, crackers and fresh veggies like carrots and celery. If you end up with leftover dill pickle dip, it also makes an amazing sandwich spread! This recipe can easily be doubled or tripled for a large crowd, and you can make it up to 8 hours in advance.

Flavor Variations

While this dip is fabulous as-is, you can absolutely add other ingredients to customize the flavors to your tastes.

Protein: Stir in some finely diced ham or cooked crumbled bacon to add some protein to the dish. Cheese: Add in some grated cheese like an aged white cheddar cheese, mozzarella cheese or Swiss cheese to accentuate the flavors of the pickles. Add-Ins: Feel free to add hot sauce, smoked paprika, black pepper, jalapeno, diced black olives, Cajun seasoning or even other herbs like basil or parsley. Softer: For a softer dip, you can add sour cream or more pickle juice until you reach your desired consistency.

This dill pickle dip is absolutely a must try if you’re a pickle fan. I always get so many compliments on it, your family and friends will enjoy it too!
