I like to make my own spice blends whenever possible, they taste way better than the store bought version and don’t contain any preservatives. Some of my favorites include BBQ rub, Cajun seasoning and this zesty fajita seasoning. I happen to love fajitas, you simply can’t go wrong with juicy meat, tender veggies, and all the toppings. My fajita seasoning produces fantastic results every time, and also happens to be quite easy to make.

I often add a teaspoon or two of fresh minced garlic to the pan when I cook my meat and veggies.Onion Powder: This ingredient adds a savory note that rounds out the flavor of the spice blend.Cayenne Pepper: If you like a little heat to your fajitas, add cayenne pepper. If you’re spice adverise, you can leave it out.Oregano: Dried oregano is a common ingredient in Mexican food, which is why you’ll find it in many spice blends.Smoked Paprika: I love to add smoked paprika because it adds such a complex, and of course smoky, flavor to my meals.Cumin: This is a traditional ingredient in Mexican cooking and is found in many types of fajita seasoning.
