How to make homemade magic shell

You’ll need just two ingredients for your magic shell: chocolate and coconut oil. I use semisweet chocolate chips because it’s more of a traditional choice, but you could also use milk chocolate or white chocolate chips if you prefer. The two ingredients are melted together, then simply pour and watch the magic happen!

This homemade magic shell recipe is WAY more delicious than anything you can buy at the store, and it’s simple enough for kids to make! My kids love to help make this ice cream topping, especially when there are sprinkles involved at the end.

Magic shell can be stored in the refrigerator or at room temperature. I always re-heat my magic shell for a few seconds in the microwave to liquefy it before I pour it over ice cream, as it tends to solidify during storage. Adults and kids alike will love this fun and easy ice cream topping. It’s a must-make for summer time!
