Summer and even early to mid-fall salads are always my favorite to create and share. By late July, when the summer produce is flourishing, sweet tomatoes, corn, zucchini, peaches, fresh berries, cherries, and herbs are stocked up at all the grocery stores and farmer’s markets. This time of year through the end of October really is the best time of year for fresh produce. My favorite thing to do when I visit a local farmers market is to pull all the ingredients that look and smell the freshest at the time and then build recipes based on what I pick up. We get to be creative this way! Of course, I gravitate towards salads. I can load them up with all the prettiest vegetables, fruits, and herbs, then make the YUMMIEST dressing and add lots of cheese, plus most likely homemade croutons (my current obsession is croutons). Because I love salads so much, I thought we might all enjoy a post dedicated to just summer salads. Below, I shared the most popular from the past few summers. There are so many good ones on this list! Which is your favorite, and which one are you most looking forward to creating? Would you be interested in a similar fall salad post? I have so many of those, too! It could be fun to highlight them, but let me know your thoughts!
