Love s’mores? Skip the campfire and make a skillet of this decadent dip for the same flavors with the ease of cooking indoors! S’mores dip is one of my favorite sweet treats along with cookie dough dip, cannoli dip, strawberry lemon cake and chocolate fruit dip.
S’mores Dip Ingredients
To make this s’mores dip recipe you will want to have chocolate chips, large marshmallows and graham crackers. You will also probably want some other fun dippers like fresh fruit, cookies, etc. If you love s’mores desserts, you should also try my s’mores fudge and s’mores cookies! Enjoy roasted marshmallows and chocolate anywhere you go!
How Do You Make S’mores Dip?
This s’mores dip is so easy, you almost don’t need a recipe! First, grab a skillet and some chocolate chips. Place a layer of chocolate chips in your skillet. Melt the chocolate chips in the oven. This will take about 3-4 minutes. Take the skillet out of the oven and carefully add a layer of marshmallows on top of the chocolate chips. Place the skillet back into the oven until the marshmallows turn golden brown on top. Within minutes you’ll end up with the ultimate s’mores dip, with a layer of molten chocolate and golden toasted marshmallows!
Tips For The Perfect S’Mores Dip
Make sure your skillet is oven safe. If you don’t have an oven safe skillet you can use any similar sized baking dish or baking pan. Arrange your marshmallows in a single layer in a circular pattern. This helps the marshmallows to brown evenly. I recommend large marshmallows instead of mini marshmallows so you will have a good marshmallow to chocolate ratio. This dip is best served immediately, as the marshmallows and chocolate will harden when it cools.
What To Serve With S’mores Dip
I like to serve my s’mores dip with an assortment of dippers. Clearly graham crackers are traditional, but other great choices include:
vanilla wafers fresh strawberries apple slices Oreo cookies chocolate wafer cookies gingersnaps potato chips Ritz crackers pretzels
Flavor Variations
This s’mores dip is ooey, gooey good as-is; however, you can change up the flavors to suit your taste.
Chocolate: If you’re a dark chocolate fan, you can use semi sweet chips or do a mix of both dark and milk chocolate! Marshmallows: I use regular marshmallows for this dip. However, if you are feeling adventurous you could use different flavored marshmallows like chocolate or strawberry. Peanut butter: You could place some dollops of peanut butter on your melted chocolate chips and set marshmallows on top. Caramel: Feel free to drizzle some caramel sauce over the melted chocolate chip layer. Coconut: You can sprinkle some toasted coconut shreds over your chocolate chips for a vibrant flavor.
This s’mores dip is perfect for a party, or when you’re craving that s’mores flavor in the middle of winter with no camp fire in sight!
