25 Minute Banh Mi Rice Bowls

If you’re not familiar with a Banh Mi sandwich, it’s a Vietnamese sandwich. It’s usually made with a baguette-style sub roll that’s layered with cripy pork or chicken. Then a spicy mayo is spread on top with pickled veggies, cucumbers, spicy chilies, and fresh herbs. It’s also traditional to add liver pate, but you’ll notice I left that out of these bowls. It’s not something I can easily find. The flavors combined are fresh, with just the right amount of spiciness, and great umami flavors all around....

5 Ingredient Raspberry Peach Sherbet

Homemade sherbet you guys! How fun is this? I wasn’t expecting to love this recipe so much, but I am really excited to share this…it’s super easy! My brother Kai used to eat sherbet as a kid. He’d go with the rainbow flavored gallon size tub. I’d snack on it every so often, but it never really excited me much. I remember it tasting like some sugary, overly sweet ice cream....

Arugula Peach Ricotta Pizza With Crispy Bacon

Umm, boring. Ok ok, for real though, I feel like Mondays just require fun food, you know? I love salads, but let’s save those for our lunches, and let’s do pizza for dinner…sound good? Plus, this pizza is basically just like a salad with all that arugula on top…right, right. Got to love my reasoning right? To be honest, this pizza is happening today for a couple of reasons. Reason one would be all of the above....

Autumn Harvest Granola Half Baked Harvest

Yeah, the short one. The original recipe name also included, pumpkin, pumpkin seeds and honeycrisp apples, but I realized that was just way too ridiculously long. Like come on, I cannot have a title that is three-lines long (well I could, but I shouldn’t). That is just too crazy, even for me. So autumn harvest granola came into play and it stuck. I like it better anyway. Did I ever tell you that harvest, is one of my very favorite words and autumn is probably my second?...

Chaos N Sprinkles

Soo, I have been meaning to tell you guys, but um, we got baby chicks. BABY CHICKS. Well, they are getting so much bigger now, but a few weeks ago they were teency, tiny and so cute. Now? Well they squawk a lot and to be honest they are really not the smartest animals. We got the chicks because I really wanted a good source of eggs for cooking. I still plan to use a mix of store-bought eggs for baking since we only have three chicks, but I cannot wait to fry a fresh egg....
