Happy Saturday! Excited to be back with a September cocktail that feels very fitting for this month. It’s light and pretty, yet gives off moody fall vibes. Crazy that fall is just 12 days away! I’m having such a nice time in New York. I’ve never been here in September, but it is beautiful! I will share more details tomorrow. I had the best day yesterday and I know today will be great too! Going to dive right into recipe details today! I wanted to create something fun for September before we officially start up our fall cocktail Saturday series. Think of this as a little teaser! I’ve been enjoying mixing and matching drink recipes and kind of combining them into one drink. This is my favorite spicy margarita done-up with an egg white for a sour twist.

When creating drink recipes, I always look for a more natural way to sweeten them to keep the drink low in sugar. Being the fruit lover that I am, I almost always reach for fresh berries, and honey or maple to sweeten! Today’s mix-up is blackberries with some spicy jalapeños. Not only did I have these ingredients on hand, but I was in love their deep, dark bluish/purple colors, and knew they would make for a pretty drink. Just muddle the berries and jalapeños together until they burst. This is especially easy to do with berries, and the jalapeño infuses the drink with spice. Then add the tequila and shake things up! Once this is shaken up, add the egg white, then shake again. This is optional, but I do love it! I know this is a little different, but I really wanted to have fun with this – and I did!! Mixing this up will make any night feel special and hopefully ease us into fall cocktails. Looking for other drink recipes?
